How to Chage your look

Not all of us can be like Madonna or Lady Gaga and reinvent ourselves on what seems like a weekly basis, but updating your look once in a while helps prevent beauty boredom. Here are a few ways to update your style so you look refreshed and revitalized.
Update your style with these tips:

Cut your hair.

Getting a haircut is the fastest route to a new look. You don't have to do anything drastic, but do opt for a fairly significant change. Take several inches off, add some layers or think about bangs. The point is to cut enough off or make enough of a change that you feel -- and look -- different.

Get your makeup done.

Head to a makeup counter or your favorite makeup store and tell the clerk you want to update your look. If you're not wearing makeup, tell them the products and colors you usually use and see what they recommend. You'll leave with a better idea of how to move away from your current color palette, and be ready to try some other shades.

Add highlights.

If you don't want to change your hair color or dye your whole head, refresh your look with highlights. They can brighten up your complexion and inject new life into a stale hairstyle. If you're not sure where to start, ask your stylist what would best flatter your style and skin tone.

Play with color.

You don't have to do a complete wardrobe overhaul. Instead, think about how to brighten things up with color. From sweaters to shoes, adding something vibrant to an otherwise neutral outfit can go a long way in updating your look.

Add accessories.

If you don't usually wear jewelry, now's your chance to experiment. Add a statement necklace to your next outfit or wear bolder earrings than you normally would. The point is to stretch your style limits to see what works for you and how you can take your current look to the next level.
